Biography:

Casey R. Law, a McPherson native, graduated from McPherson High School, where he was a National Merit Scholarship finalist. He received his A.B., cum laude, in Philosophy and Religion from McPherson College and was a Danforth Fellowship candidate.

Casey received his Juris Doctor degree at the University of Kansas School of Law. He was there inducted into the Order of the Coif, members of which are annually chosen from among the top ten percent of KU’s law school graduates. At the University of Kansas, he was also inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi academic honor society. While practicing law in McPherson he served for six semesters as an adjunct instructor in Business Law at McPherson College.

Casey practiced for six years in Great Bend, Kansas. He there obtained extensive experience in personal injury litigation, with emphases on trial preparation, legal research, legal briefing, and appeals.

Since 1989, Casey has been with Wise & Reber, L.C. His practice has included personal injury and commercial litigation; document drafting and analysis; commercial transactions, such as business sales; real estate transactions; domestic relations; and legal research and writing.

Casey is admitted to practice before the Kansas Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, and District Courts; the United States Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit; and the United States District Court for the District of Kansas. He is a member of the Kansas Bar Association, and has served on the Board of Editors of the K.B.A. Journal, as an editor of K.B.A.’s Annual Survey of Kansas Law and as a volunteer complaint investigator for the K.B.A.’s Professional Ethics Grievance Panel.
